Micky van de Ven Double Ends Everton's Unbeaten Streak at New Home Ground
The Dutch defender emerged as the initial backline player to net twice in a English top-flight game for Tottenham since the Belgian defender in spring 2013.

The Tottenham defender found the net twice as Spurs prolonged their unbeaten run on the road in the Premier League and delivered Everton their initial loss at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton were unbeaten in their last five matches at their recently opened stadium at the dockside location, having left Goodison Park behind after 133 years at the end of the previous campaign.
But Spurs captain Van de Ven pounced twice from set-pieces in the first half to put their strong form at risk, and they were failed to turn it around before the midfielder - assisted by ex-Everton forward Richarlison - headed home a final goal to seal the victory.
The Everton defender thought he had levelled the scores five minutes after the defender's first goal, glancing a bullet header past Guglielmo Vicario from an Everton corner.
Beto, meanwhile, failed to convert a handful of opportunities, while the Italian goalkeeper made a series of fine saves to ensure the London club went five matches on the road unbeaten in the English top flight.
But the video assistant referee intervened, advising the match official to check the score on the pitchside monitor and the referee decided that Jack Grealish and the attacker were in an illegal position and had impeded with the Spurs keeper.
This victory elevates the manager's team up to third in the division, a handful of points off north London rivals and table-toppers Arsenal.
Everton remain 14th and sit half a dozen points clear of the drop zone.
Tottenham analysis: The defender fulfils duties at each end of the field
After a uninspiring midweek display in the European competition against Monaco, where they managed a only two shots on goal, Frank opted for the French striker in attack instead of ex-Everton forward the Brazilian.
The new arrival was failed to make much of an impact before being substituted for the substitute after an hour on the pitch, but it turns out he wasn't needed in the end.
Defender Van de Ven converted into an offensive threat to be reckoned with.
Tottenham's opening strike came from a well-worked set-piece play, with the midfielder directing the ball toward the six-yard box for an free Van de Ven to head home.
And Ven de Ven - filling in as captain in Cristian Romero's absence - notched his second in first-half stoppage time as he outjumped Jordan Pickford to head home.
Van de Ven was just as outstanding in defence, combining effectively with Kevin Danso as the pair handled superbly with the 34 crosses thrown their way by the opposition.
Toffees breakdown: Everton missing striker's instinct
Everton's new home had been a fortress, but it seems the freshness may have worn off slightly and supporters headed to the gates after the midfielder's final goal for Spurs.
The end in Everton's winning streak at home won't be a major worry for the manager, but their striker situation will be.
Beto and Thierno Barry - the Everton's pair of established centre-forwards - had scored just one league goal combined before Sunday's outing.
And they were unable to contribute to that miserable tally on a wet and gloomy night on in Liverpool.
The striker's form was epitomized when he chose to bicycle-kick a golden opportunity from near the goal, despite having room and time to reposition for a simpler shot that would have tested the keeper.
The substitute, too, was unable to make an impact after replacing Beto in the 65th minute.
It wasn't for a shortage of opportunity. Most of Everton's attacks came through the winger and Ndiaye, who tirelessly whipped threatening crosses into the Spurs box.

The Toffees: The team head to Sunderland in the top flight on early November at 8 PM.
Spurs: Spurs go to Newcastle's ground on late October for their fourth-round Carabao Cup tie against the Magpies.
